Hello my crafty friends! Emilie here with a band new layout using the amazing WHAT’S COOKIN’ collection by Simple Stories.How truly gorgeous is this collection?!!! I am in awe. Pinks and robin's egg colours are my go-to colours so I was in my element!
I had this photograph of Sophia taken at the hairdresser straight after her brand-new haircut. They had a wall of pink flowers there, so I knew I had to snap a quick photo! Even though my photograph had nothing to do with cooking, I knew the WHAT’S COOKIN’ collection would be perfect to document it!
I started off my selecting my patterned papers. Those patterns are so gorgeous that I knew I really wanted to put them at the forefront of my layout and let them shine.
Then came the time to select my embellishments. The background of my photograph made it perfect to select all the beautiful florals from the collection.
Talking about florals, did you peek the few COLOR VIBE florals that I added to the mix? The COLOR VIBE collections are especially designed to marry perfectly with any of the Simple Stories collections! They make it so easy to add extra detail and volume to your layouts! They truly have become one of my staples when creating.
For just a little bit of extra texture and detail, I used the CALICO DAISY STENCIL with modelling paste on my background. I add just the right amount of white to my layout.
A few ephemeras from the BITS AND PIECES packs in the shapes of hearts, houses and trees finished off my layout beautifully.
