Scrap lifted with Love – A Purrfect 8x8 Layout using Fur Baby Cat
Hi crafty friends! Today I’m here to share a sweet and simple layout I created with the Fur Baby Cat collection—perfect for all the feline lovers out there! And I have a fun little confession: every time I receive new goodies from Simple Stories, I always find myself admiring the back of the Simple Pages kit packaging. The suggested layout ideas using the die cuts are so inspiring that I thought—why not try one myself? So that’s exactly what I did!
I created an 8x8 layout featuring two photos (each around 4x3 inches) of my sister and her adorable kitty, Chloe. I layered patterned papers from the collection, added a cardstock frame in coordinating colors, and followed the suggested placement of bits and pieces from the back of the packaging. It was like having a mini creative roadmap that still left plenty of room for personal touches!
To add a little something extra, I included some brads—and oh, how I love the charm they bring! They give the layout that polished, elegant touch that makes everything feel just a bit more special.
What I loved most about this process was how easy and fun it was! Sometimes we overthink layouts, but letting the packaging guide me helped keep it quick and stress-free—yet still full of love and personality.
Now I’m planning to pop this layout into a frame and gift it to my sister. It’s such a sweet way to celebrate the bond between her and Chloe, and I’m sure it’ll be a gift she’ll treasure forever!
Hugs,
Aline Martins
