Hi everyone! Welcome back on the Simple Stories blog, Cristina with you today to share a new project made with the new Bunnies + Blooms collection. I share with you a mini album that is 5 ¼ x 5 ¼ inches.
What can I say about this collection that is not already clear to you by looking at the beautiful designs that characterize it?
I have to confess I'm a pink addict and I totally love the pastel colors. I feel like this collection was made special for me!
I am not a big fan of holidays, but for all those who love spring and its delicate tones - this is the collection for you. There are very versatile designs that can be adapted to many themes and that's why I decided to make a mini album. When I saw the sheet with the tags I could not resist and I immediately had the idea of how to use them.
This has the right shape to collect photos of 2.5" size or even larger, it depends on the size of the album cover. The inside pages can also be different sizes from each other and not necessarily all have to be the same. I inserted some adorable embellishments larger than the width of the tags, and decided to make the cover bigger and use a ring as a binding.
As usual, this collection is also full of many different embellishments to satisfy all styles of crafting. When in doubt, I always use them all because I can’t decide which is my favorite! Each embellishment has a different feature that I exploit differently depending on the effect I want to obtain. For example, the foam and chipboard stickers help me give movement when I create the layers. While puffy stickers and enamel dots are cute and smaller in size, so I use them as a detail when the composition is already very rich.
Finally, the die-cuts and the brads as well as the stickers are fundamental to create the composition. They are the bases on which I can build decorative layers with the photo and around it.
I hope you like my project and if you have any questions, please leave me a comment in the form below and I’ll keep in touch with you.
Thanks for joining me today and see you next time.
Bye.
