Hello Simple Stories friends, Becki here, to share a layout with you that I created using the Summer Lovin’ collection. This collection is the perfect, traditional summer collection. The patterned papers are absolutely adorable and the embellishments are so fun!!
I was immediately drawn to the gingham plaid patterned papers in the Summer Lovin’ Basics kit. I chose the red plaid patterned paper as my background and built my layout from there. I created layers with patterned paper, washi and cardstock. The bulk of the layout is right in the center on top of Color Vibe cardstock.
This layout tells the story of our 2021 Summer adventures. I printed all the photos for this layout at 3x2 so that they would fit on the tags on the tag cut apart patterned paper. Oh how I love those tags. I fussy cut the tags so that I could score and fold them to create interactive pieces for this layout.
On each tag, I punched a hole at the top to make room for a bow tied with white string. After tying the bow, I added an adhesive brad for additional texture and a pop of shine.
All of the tags have photos on them as well as journaling. The foam sticker “good times!” serves as the title on this layout. On the second tag from the top, I layered stickers, puffy stickers, chipboard and adhesive brads. I LOVE how it turned out.
