Hey Simple Stories friends! It’s Cheryl here today with my very first project on the blog. I used the incredible Let’s Get Crafty collection - this is the ultimate collection for us crafters, because it’s basically our craft room turned into papers, stickers and embellishments! How cool and unique is that?!
I created a tri-fold album with a hidden magnetic closure and an added storage box for ephemera, tickets and other beautiful small items, that we love to hold on to for memory keeping. I absolutely love the floral paper the collection kit comes with and used it for my cover. And of course I had to use the beautiful pink Color Vibe paper in Peony, to wrap my chipboard album with. You will be seeing a lot of pink!
The beautiful “crafty” chipboard covers the entire front of the album, but is kind of floating over the left hand side, as well as the chipboard flower. This adds a fun element to the cover and makes it look a little bit more dimensional.
How fun is this multi coloured polka dot paper I used to line my album?! It’s so bright and screams happiness. The lid of the mini keepsake box comes off, for plenty of storage for small collectables.
I added machine stitching to all of the pages that are currently in the album for more detail. There’s even a triple-tag that opens up for hidden journalling. I’ve added a hidden magnetic closure to the tags too, just to help them stay where they are.
Some of the pages have been embellished, because how could I not use all of the beautiful stickers this collection comes with? I especially love that some of the icons are available in all types of products, i.e. chipboard stickers, ephemera pieces, puffy stickers etc. It adds such an interest to the pages.
I’ve also left some space on some of the pages for pictures or journalling. And there’s also still plenty of space in the binder for more pages and memories!
You are going to LOVE the Let’s Get Crafty collection so much. I can’t wait to see what you create with this incredible new collection :)
