Hello Simple Stories fans, it’s Teri here with you today, and I’m bringing some down-home love to you with the gorgeous, new collection called “Homegrown”. By Simple Stories of course!
I had so much fun creating with this fantastic collection, as it brought back so many childhood memories! Every summer, I was always so delighted to go to the Farmers Market, just my mother and me. I loved the fresh sunflowers, and mom would always buy a big, beautiful bouquet of them. They brought such a smile to her face!
And then, taste-testing the strawberries and blueberries and pea pods and carrots…I can still taste them right now! So fresh and full of juice, there’s nothing like it! Mom would fill the basket with as much fresh goodness as she could.
We lived very near a farm when I was growing up, and on hot, summer days when us kids were feeling mischievous, we would sneak over and steal a few radishes and cucumbers, and whatever else we could eat, without getting caught of course!
One of my favorite things about the farm was the animals. Trying to milk a cow, which I was never any good at, but never gave up none the less. And running around trying to catch the baby pigs was hilarious! Innocent and simple, but we had the time of our lives!
Being on the farm was such a contrast from normal life. It was so simple but so fun and so endearing. And that’s what this collection is all about…the beauty of homegrown and farmlife!
I am so happy that you stopped by today and I really hope that you enjoyed my cards! If you are looking for more inspiration, this Simple Stories collection is the perfect place to start.
