Greetings to my Simple Stories friends! For those of you that may celebrate, I hope that the holidays have been good to you. I know for myself around this time of year I find myself looking back at the previous year and thinking of all the good (and bad) things that took place and I kind of "take stock" if you will. Sometimes it's therapeutic for me to scrap a layout that serves as a reminder just to me of something that's important. Like this layout.
This is a super simple layout featuring one photo just of me and a sentiment that I want to carry through into the next year. In this case, that being that I want to remember how important it is to remember that every day that I am here on this earth with those that I love is truly a gift! It's so very easy to let life get you down or sidetracked with its "busyness" and to lose sight of that.
The Simply Vintage Cottage Fields collection is so very lovely...I knew that I had to use this collection to create something special. This is my little reminder going into the new year.
Do you create layouts using photos of just yourself? If not, perhaps this can be a challenge for you to get yourself in a layout and perhaps it will see less daunting of a task if you keep the idea of your page central to just one thought...(there is no need for lots of journaling for each and every page that you create!).
Happy creating! And here's to making each and every day of this next year count!
