Hey, Simple Stories friends! Marsha here, and I'm excited to share a mini album I created using the Simple Vintage Coastal collection. This is such a beautiful collection, perfect for documenting a coastal getaway! For my project today, I chose to create an album to document a family beach trip from a few years ago.
I used two dividers from a 6x8 SN@P Binder to create the covers for my album. I trimmed the dividers to 5 inches wide, making the album 5x8.25 inches. The album is a similar size to a traveler's notebook, one of my personal favorite formats for memory keeping! To decorate the cover, I trimmed a woodgrain patterned paper from the collection and adhered it to the chipboard cover. Next, I used a variety of foam, cardstock, and chipboard stickers to embellish it. I also added some of the beautiful decorative brads for additional texture.
For the first spread, I used a trimmed patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pad that featured one of my favorite travel quotes as the base page and embellished using stickers from the cardstock sticker sheet and the sticker book. I also added a few of the decorative brads to both pages.
I used a patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pad and white cardstock for the base pages for the next layout. I created a grid design with 2x2 squares from a cut apart patterned paper.
I embellished the pages with layered stickers and chipboard stickers.
I also created a flip-up for the journaling using two journaling cards and a woodgrain patterned paper. Finally, I typed my journaling on white cardstock, adhered it to the trimmed patterned paper, and added a sticker from the sticker book to embellish.
For the next spread, I included two photos and used two of my favorite patterned papers from this collection for the background. I used a trimmed journaling card as the title piece and embellished the pages with foam stickers, die cut bits and pieces, and a border sticker from the sticker book.
I layered patterned papers and white cardstock to create the background for the next layout. I added a large foam sticker vertically on the page to serve as the title and decorated the spread with cardstock and foam stickers.
I added my photo on the other page and placed a banner sticker from the sticker book at the top of the photo. There are so many fun stickers in the sticker book that I had a difficult time deciding which ones to use on the spread!
For the final layout, I printed a photo to 9x8 inches to span both pages. I created a tag using a journaling card and embellished the page with foam and cardstock stickers. Such a pretty layout using only a few embellishments!
I love how this project turned out using the gorgeous Simple Vintage Coastal collection! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will see you again soon with more inspiration!
