Hi, Friends! Andrea here, sharing a sweet spring 12x12 layout featuring the gorgeous Tea Garden collection by Simple Stories. I printed a cute black-and-white photo of myself with a couple of very special crafty friends so I could highlight the beautiful colors in the collection.
One of my friends is currently going through a difficult time, and I wanted to cheer her up by creating a colorful and dimensional layout. This is my way of sending her a hug from afar.
Now, let’s talk about the design of the page! I used the solid color panels to mat my photo on the left, add my journaling, and frame the journaling piece. Once those foundational pieces were in place, I layered on floral embellishments, border strips, and the title.
I added the adorable banner piece from the foam stickers and created a cluster featuring an umbrella and a cloud with the sun peeking out. I wanted these elements to represent how friendship is forever—we’re there for each other through the sunny days and the rainy ones, always ready to lift one another up.
All of these pieces are adhered to a 10" x 10" piece of white Color Vibe cardstock, matted on a 10 ¼” x 10 ¼” piece of brown Color Vibe cardstock, and framed with one of my favorite patterned papers from the collection.
I had so much fun picking all my decorative elements from the Foam and cardstock stickers, page pieces, floral bits, big bits and journal bits. And as always, I had to add a few enamel dot trios to finish my page.
