It's Sophie on the blog today and I’m so excited to share this scrapbook page with you!
It’s a 12x12 layout using the beautiful Take Note collection, that I absolutely loved creating, and I hope it inspires you to try something similar!
I started with a white cardstock base and hand-scalloped all around the edges to give it a soft, delicate feel. I also stitched French knots to create a cute border on the page.
Then I placed my black and white printed photo on the right side of the page—I love how centering it there creates such a nice balance.
On the left side of my photo, I cut several squares from the colorful "Focus on the Day" patterned paper and layered them on top of each other. This added such wonderful depth and visual interest! The mix of colors really makes the layout pop, even with the black and white photo.
Next came my favorite part: the embellishments! I added flowers, hearts, a few labels and a title all around my photo. These little touches really brought everything to life and made the page feel complete.
To frame it all beautifully, I mounted everything on the "Make it Count" paper; a stunning black paper with white polka dots—it creates such a striking border!
This layout holds such special memories for me, and I love how the mix of textures and layers tells the story. I hope that you find this page inspiring! Give it a try with your own photos and colors—make it yours!
