Let's Sail Away!
Hi everyone! It's Ali here today, and I'm excited to share a fun vacation layout featuring the Simple Vintage Sand & Sea collection! This layout documents my very first Disney Cruise aboard the Disney Wish and our unforgettable stop at Disney's Castaway Cay in the Bahamas.
To begin, I selected three patterned papers from the 6" x 8" paper pad, cut them into strips, and adhered them down the center of the light blue cardstock from the collection. I hand stitched along the edges of each strip, adding texture and a handmade touch that really brings the background to life.
Next, I matted my photos on coordinating cardstock before adhering them to the page. I used foam tape behind one of the photos to add dimension and create a fun focal point. The "Let's Get Away" sticker made the perfect title for our photos with Mickey on the beach and in front of the Disney Wish. I also added a tab to the left photo for an extra little detail.
To embellish the layout, I clustered beautiful florals above and below the stitched paper strips and finished the clusters with colorful enamel dots. I also loved the 2" x 2" journaling squares from the 12" x 12" paper, so I chose two of them for the top right corner. After matting them on white cardstock, I added more enamel dots inside each square for a little extra sparkle and interest.
Finally, I tucked three-word phrase stickers beneath the adorable seagull and beach hat images using foam adhesive for added dimension. I love how the soft colors and beach-inspired designs in the Simple Vintage Sand & Sea collection perfectly complement our photos from this magical day at Castaway Cay.
