Hello HOWDY friends, it is Dorymar today with a fun project with the adorable HOWDY collection. This collection has the cutest bandits and cowboys you ever see, also has bright colors mixed with red and navy blue in many beautiful patterns.
For this project, I used the 6x8 Blue Flipbook. On the cover, I recreated a Wild, Wild West scene using many pieces from the collection. I selected a few beautiful patterns to create the background, then I placed every piece with foam tape to create many layers.
This collection has lots of gorgeous embellishments like chipboard, bits and pieces, journal bits and pieces, decorative brads, washi too, and my favorites, the foam stickers. I adore incorporating them as a title in my 6x8 layouts. Here you can see how gorgeous they are, mixed with the little buckaroos, they look stunning.
The 3x4 pocket pages are very practical because it allows you to add a lot of memorabilia and play with the collection cards. One of my favorite cards is the one with that adorable cowgirl on the top right pocket.
I had to dedicate a page to this beautiful girl. Isn't she adorable?
One technique that I use a lot in my projects is to reduce pocket pages to create interactive pages in the project. This time, I used a 4x6 pocket page and reduced it to 4.5” to be able to incorporate the 4x4 cards. With them, I created a top pocket with cards and in the other, a flap. I used my Fuse, a photo sleeve tool, to seal them.
The HOWDY collection has too many fun elements to count and can be used in so many ways. I hope my project inspires you to create a fun one. Thanks for stopping by!
