Hello Simple Stories Friends!
Andrea with you today! I am so excited to share my new layout using the new STARS, STRIPES + SPARKLERS collection kit by Simple Stories. This collection is vibrant, colorful, and perfect to document your 4th of July adventures with your friends and family. Since I moved to the United States only a few years ago, and I haven’t really taken many pictures during this popular Holiday, I’ll share with you how I used this beautiful collection to document a special family “goal” for this year.
The theme of my page is CELEBRATION. I haven’t seen my parents in years and we are hoping we can get together in 2021. And the goal is to get together in the United States. My sister and I are lucky to live in a country that has given us many opportunities and has become our home. We want to be able to celebrate that with our parents. I can’t wait to enjoy them soon.
To start setting up my page, I used 4 sheets of patterned paper and one sheet of white cardstock will do. I know, it is a lot and we won’t see much of them, but it makes a huge visual difference. I mixed regular double-sided tape and adhesive foam to get some dimension. I cut a heart on the top layer of patterned paper, sewed around its edges, and used white cardstock to “back it”. Both layers are kept together using adhesive foam.
My photo is on the right side of the page along with my journaling. I used many of the stickers from the sticker sheet to embellish the area around my photo as well as the top left portion of the heart. You can see that there is more adhesive foam and layers on those clusters. I simply love layers and texture. I used some big white foam alpha stickers to spell the word TOGETHER that is part of my title.
