Hey there friends!
It's Nathalie with you today to bring you a bit of inspiration with the new PACK YOUR BAGS collection. I am sure that we all have pictures of our trips, especially those times as we are getting ready to embark on a new adventure. As soon as I opened the kit, the idea for this page came to live!
It's Nathalie with you today to bring you a bit of inspiration with the new PACK YOUR BAGS collection. I am sure that we all have pictures of our trips, especially those times as we are getting ready to embark on a new adventure. As soon as I opened the kit, the idea for this page came to live!
I just love how easily this came together using a few of the papers, and -one of my most favorite things- one of the chipboard frames.
I love the scene at the bottom of the "Enjoying This View" paper, so I carefully cut a partial half inch frame out of the paper starting from the edge of the buildings at the bottom edge. I then backed the paper with the Time to Travel paper to complete the scene for the back of my layout.
Next, I wanted to bring more of the background "Time to Travel" paper to the page. So, I backed one of the chipboard frames with the 6x8 version of this paper, making sure the airplane was part of image. I added a plane sticker atop the one in the paper using foam adhesive. I set the frame on center of the top edge of the page.
Using papers from the 6x8 and journal cards, I backed the pictures; then glued them to the bottom of the frame, as if they are cascading down the page.
To finish the layout, I decided to add my embellishments along the bottom edge of the pictures. I started with one of the foam words to create my title, then pulled pieces from each of the packages to elongate the embellishment line from the left to the right edge of the page. I have to say that rub-ons are a great way to add interest with no bulk, and amazing results!!
I scattered a few enamel dots around the page and added my space for journaling under the title. I just love, love how this turned out, and I hope it provides some inspiration for your next project featuring PACK YOUR BAGS!
