Keep It Simple! by Emma Toon

Hello, it’s Emma with you today, and I’d like to share with you how I’ve made a recipe binder with the glorious Hearth & Home collection.

I chose the black 6x8 sn@p! Binder for this project as there’s quite a bit of beautiful black detail running throughout this collection. I covered my binder and then used one of the chipboard frames with a 3x4 element from the collection kit. A few chipboard pieces, enamel dot and a self adhesive brads, oh and I also tied some ribbon around the binder too.

You can see here how I drew around the edge of the paper that I used to cover the binder, I did a faux stitch detail…it’s little details like this that help to bring your designs together.

I’ve used one of the designer sheets from the 6x8 pad to make a front page in my recipe binder, simply adding a few layered elements adds to the design.

Here I’ve done a full page using pieces from the journaling pack and an element from the journaling page included in the collection kit.

This collection comes with some wonderful recipe card elements which are absolutely perfect for creating your own recipe binder.

The bits & pieces in this collection are just so cute!! Just look at all the pretty kitchen accessories, sweet little birds and vases full of flowers!

The florals that run through this collection are simply divine! I always love a good floral!

I’ve used the 6x4 cards so that I can write the recipe down on one and then the other I can then add a photo of how that dish looks.

I do hope you feel inspired to design your very own recipe binder! It’s so much fun, something you can use for years and years,…you may find it becomes a family heir loom, passed down through the generations!
