Hello, crafty friends! I’m so excited to share my latest 12x12 layout using the Book Fair collection by Simple Stories, a collection that’s bursting with vibrant colors, adorable school-themed icons, and endless creative possibilities!
This layout was inspired by the feeling of sitting at a cozy study desk, surrounded by notebooks, stationery, and little treasures that make learning (and crafting!) so much fun. I wanted to capture that playful, creative chaos so I filled the page with layered elements, clusters, textures, and interactive details.
To start, I used patterned papers from the collection, then added stickers, brads (they’re so cute in this line!), and even built a pocket to tuck in some journaling cards. But the real stars of the page? Tiny handmade mini books!
Each mini book was made by folding patterned paper as the cover and filling the inside with plain white sheets, just like real notebooks. On the covers, I added mini photos, and inside, there’s space to write a bit about the memory behind each image like a little hidden journal.
The final look is colorful, dimensional, and full of movement just like the creative process itself. I hope this project inspires you to turn your scrapbook pages into playful, storytelling-filled spaces where every detail matters. Whether you’re documenting back-to-school memories or simply celebrating your love for books and creativity, Book Fair is the perfect collection!
Hugs,
