Hi there!
Nathalie with you today to share a new project featuring the gorgeous MIX & A-MINGLE collection. Yes! it is time to get into a festive mood, and document the season with this fun, colorful, and perfect collection. Let me show you what I have created:
I always look at the chipboard frames first, as they are such a great way to bring focus to the page and your favorite photos. This time, my choice was the two joined portrait frames with the cute Santa in the middle
Since my photos are set in landscape (horizontal) orientation, my best option was to alter the chipboard frames. I used an exacto knife to cut them apart, and also to hollow out the photo square. I backed each with my photos, then used chipboard stickers to cover the empty space and leftover illustration in the frames.
I wanted to bring all the pattern and colors from the collection to the page. The best way to do this is to play with paper layers. I also added a piece of Color Vibe cardstock amongst the layers to give a needed bit of simple space between the layers.
Once all the paper layers were secured, I added my chipboard frames. A bit of foam adhesive helps to create the dimension on the page. With so many cute embellishments it was easy to create clusters of interest throughout the page.
Though I used the large chipboard sticker word between the frames, I wanted to give the layout a second/complementary title. For this, I clustered a few Christmas trees die cuts then used a sentiment from the sticker tablet to bring more sentiment to the page.
Finally, I added a few enamel dots to complete the page. I love how this page turned out. I cannot wait to see what you will all create with the beautiful MIX & A-MINGLE collection and your holiday memories.
XO
