Hello friends! Emilie here with a brand-new layout created using the HEART EYES collection and Oh My Gosh what a collection it is indeed!!! I was completely stuck for hours trying to decide which papers to use as they are all more gorgeous than the other!!!! In the end I decided on a design which would let me make the most of as many as I could as possible.
Anything designed by Kelly Bangs always goes straight to my favourite. She just knows how to capture my heart with every collection. It is always the perfect mixture of feminine, vintage and quirky.
In order to feature as many of the gorgeous, patterned papers that are part of this collection, I went for a sunburst design. I did the first layer of sunburst with the same patterned paper but then created each branch of the second layer (each repeating perfectly the first layer) with different patterned papers.
Keeping the first layer with all the same paper help to avoid creating a sunburst that would be too overwhelming as well as create a visual base for the rest of the design.
I love to find different ways to use the beautiful pieces of the collections and in this instance, the frames are wide enough that I was able to place my photograph on top of it rather than below it and yet still be able to see it.
I wanted to feature a few of the floral clusters that are part of this collection too and added some in a visual triangle around my photograph.
I added just enough BITS AND PIECES around my layout to create more interest and detail. Not much was needed as the patterned sunburst creates enough drama.
The finishing touch came with a few BRADS just to help re-enforce the visual triangle around my photograph.
I truly had so much fun creating this layout! It already has taken its place in a boxed frame in my craft space!!
This collection is absolutely my new favourite! Make sure you get your hand on HEART EYES at your local Scrapbook store before it is too late!
