I Adore You by Becki Adams
Hello Simple Stories friends and fans, it’s Becki here to share with you a layout that I created using the Heart Eyes collection. If you love bright colors, like me, you’ll LOVE this fun collection! Do you know what my favorite piece of this collection is? It’s that adorable chipboard gumball machine. A gumball machine will always have my heart!! It would be lying if I told you I didn’t create this whole layout around that gumball machine.
I decided to create this layout with a grid design. I used five 3x4 pieces of patterned paper and a chipboard frame to create the grid. I love chipboard frames! The patterned papers are stitched to the background paper. Stitching brings the best texture and dimension to a layout.
My photo is front and center on this layout. The chipboard frame makes my photo stand out because it’s slightly larger than the 3x4 pieces of patterned paper. After I found the perfect placement for my photo, the rest of the layout came together so quickly!
Below the photo, I added the foam sticker “adore”. I wanted the title to be, “I adore you” so I used letter stickers to complete the title. The little letter stickers are perfect for making the title a little more personal. Then, I added some journaling below the title. I love using strips of journaling versus a solid block because strips carry less visual weight than a block of journaling. To finish the layout, I added a few enamel dots. They’re the perfect finishing touch!
