Hi, Odessa here with some vibrant Flipbook pages using the Simple Stories Safe Travels collection. I, like many of you might understand, have some past trips that still need to get in albums so I was excited to get my hands on these super cute paper and embellishments.
The Flipbooks are perfect for making travel albums; they can hold as many or as little photos as they need to and take a bit less space than a full binder of photos. I picked the blush one to pick up some of the pinks in Safe Travels. I layered a sweet floral page with a nice title on it from the 6x8 paper pad with some of the solid pastel colours from the Spring Color Vibe Textured Cardstock. I used the Take me Somewhere Cardstock along the edge with the scalloped border sticker from the Safe Travels Cardstock Sticker Sheet.
This page features some travel pictures that I just love so I kept it a little more simple. Some bright and cheery cards from the Safe Travels 3x4 Cardstock with sprinkles of embellishments on my photos to help focus the eyes on the best parts. The two 4x6 photos on the bottom have mirrored strong outer edges which looks quite nice.
This little journal spot from the Safe Travels Journal Bits gave me a nice spot to add some journaling along with a foam sticker to give the photo a bit of a title. I couldn’t resist adding brads and enamel dots.
I added a chipboard compass in the negative space in this photo with a touch of tiny enamel dots, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and brads from Safe Travels around it for a bit of a party on my page.
This spread shows our road trip route as we drove to our destination. I used a ton of alpha stickers from the Safe Travels Sticker Book to title all the places and little geotags from the Bits & Pieces, Foam Stickers and Chipboard Stickers. It was a really fun way to document everywhere we stopped. I used a list from the Journal Elements Cardstock to jot down where we went. I really like how it worked out!
There are so many great embellishments in Safe Travels. I used a super sweet foam sticker banner across the top of my photo. I also used some of the tag stickers from the Sticker Book to add a bit of journaling on the photos. It gives it a real travel journal kind of feel.
This checklist was perfect for talking about all the places we stopped. I made it my own by adding a sticker to title the top and some embellishments all over. I know I’ll be reaching for Safe Travels a TON while I finish up some travel layouts this spring.
