Honor Rollin! by Jeanne Jachna

Honor Rollin! by Jeanne Jachna

It’s been a tough year for teachers and students alike. Learning from home has presented lots of challenges for working parents too. Hopefully we will all be back to “normal” very soon. One thing that hasn’t changed is that we could all use a little encouragement every now and then.

Today I’m sharing EIGHT cards made with the Simple Stories School Life Collection. These will make great notes for both students and teachers.. as a little “pick me up” to make them know they’re appreciated and the extra effort is totally worth it.

The collection is available in both 12” and 6x8” pad. I prefer the smaller size sheets for card making. The sheets have the same prints in a smaller print. One sheet cut in half and covers two A2 size cards.

The images are fantastic with just about everything you can think of school related. You’ll find an apple for teacher, books, writing implements and office supplies like clips and push pins. There are paper airplanes, combination locks and stacks of books.

I love the prints too! This pack includes rows of rainbow-colored rulers, notebook ruled paper, composition book prints, type print and colorful stars too!

I love the colorful prints and all the coordinating embellishments like decorative brads, washi and enamel dots. I mixed up the enamel dots putting more than one color on each card. It’s a little candy for the eyes!

Can you believe that this collection even has school lunch covered? Talk about details! Honestly, I found myself smiling at memories of lunch ladies and some of the creative menu items we were served. And yes.. you’ll also find a brown bag in the collection if your preference is a home packed meal.

The Bits and Pieces pack include lots of images, while the JOURNALING Bits and Pieces focus on labels, tags and sentiments. I like to mix them together to add layers to my cards. Chipboard images add dimension, and washi is always a fun pop of color on your designs.

I hope my cards give you ideas for some creations of your own. You’ll have fun documenting and cardmaking with this collection!
