Hey, Simple Stories friends! Marsha here today, and I'm sharing a flipbook album I created with the gorgeous Simple Vintage Farmhouse Garden collection. I love the beautiful colors, patterns, and icons in this collection and thought it would be perfect for documenting photos taken on my family's farm.
I chose a Black 6x8 SN@P Flipbook because I wanted the colors and patterns from the collection to pop against the dark album color. To decorate the cover, I chose the simple pages page pieces and ephemera garden bits and layered them on top of a patterned paper. I love the larger size of the page pieces for adding a bold title.
For the inside cover, I used a chipboard frame to hold a family photo. The chipboard frame was already decorated, but I could not resist adding stickers and die cuts to embellish it further.
On the first page, I used a paper from the 6x8 paper pad as a full page. I added a hand-cut tag to the bottom of the layout and used coral color vibe foam stickers to add the word "love" onto the tag. I added a folded tab from the cardstock stickers to the edge of the page and planned to use them on the other pages in the album. I love the detail this adds to the project!
The next pages use a trimmed 12x12 patterned paper. This was my favorite paper from the collection, so I wanted to use as much of it as possible on this spread. I added a photo of my sons and embellished the page with chipboard, ephemera, and stickers, creating clusters around the spread.
I used trimmed patterned papers for the 6x8 layout and the pocket page. The elements worked perfectly with my photos from our cornfield but could also be used to document a variety of outdoor, home, and garden photos.
I added one of the cardstock sticker banners to a trimmed patterned paper. I did some machine stitching for additional texture and created a simple flip-up with washi tape.
For the last pages, I used the 6x8 paper pad cut aparts and patterned papers to fill the pockets. I used a variety of stickers to embellish the photos and cards. I love adding lots of fun, little details to my albums, and it's so easy with the elements included in the collection!
Washi tape added to the inside edges of the page protectors provided a little more interest and color. I created a pocket by adding machine stitching to a trimmed patterned paper and added die cut tickets from the ephemera bits and pieces into the pocket. Layered stickers, chipboard, and die cuts made these pages really shine.
I love how this album turned out using the beautiful Simple Vintage Farmhouse Garden collection! I will see you again soon with more inspiration!
