HOLLY JOLLY - Simple Vintage 'Tis The Season

HOLLY JOLLY - Simple Vintage 'Tis The Season

Hi there Simple Stories friends!
It's Nathalie here to share a new project featuring the gorgeous Simple Vintage 'Tis The Season collection.  I love vintage collections (they are like my favorites!), but this collection is just extra beautiful... the color palette and designs are perfection. Putting together this layout was just a joy, and came together in a flash.

As soon as I saw all those little layered clips in the chipboard and stickers, I had the idea of creating something that will hang from them.   I thought banners would be a great idea, but I just upgraded them a bit to frames.

I used a nesting arch die set to create the frames from papers from the 6x8 paper pad (the smaller print works best for this).   I backed two of them with photos, and the last one with a piece of the 3x4 Journal cards paper.

For my background, I trimmed the Full of Wonder paper to about 10.5x 11.5in and adhered it to the back of the Make It Merry paper.   Then it was all about placing the frames in place making sure that each of one had a clip at the top of them.

Once the frames were in placed at the top of my page, I looped a piece of black and white twine through the paper clips (I used a hole punch to create the perforation in the clips).   Then it was all about embellishing each frame.   I created small clusters of embellishments at the left and right corners of the photos. I decided to keep my center banner a bit less busy so that it balances the page,

I finished my layout by adding one of the foam stickers to the bottom of the page, along with a few rub-on images - this helps to bring that beautiful, layered look to the page.   A few enamel dots complete the page.

Just love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires a project of your own!

Have a blessed and full of love Holiday season!

XO
