Hi friends! It’s Jen today sharing a fun Disney-themed layout.
If you’ve had the opportunity to get your hands on the new Simple Stories Say Cheese Main Street collection, you know it is chock full of adorable papers and embellishments. So full, in fact, that I honestly couldn’t decide where to start and what to create. In the end, I settled on creating a layout but will definitely be working on a filling up the coordinating SN@P! Flip Album very soon.
Here’s a look at the 12 x 12 layout.
To mimic the spokes in my photo of the ferris wheel, I used a cut file I’ve had for some time and cut four of the same shape using patterned papers from the Say Cheese Main Street – 12 x 12 Basics Kit. With the shapes cut and in place on patterned paper from the Collection Kit, I machine stitched down one edge of each of the spokes to add dimension and texture.
Next, I backed the photo with another patterned paper from the Collection Kit and adhered it to the background with foam squares before adding embellishments.
Because I wanted the background to remain a focal point, I decided to keep the embellishments to a minimum. There were a few added onto the photo itself, followed by the title, enamel dots, and decorative brads.
Despite struggling in the beginning, I am super happy with how the project turned out.
My next project will be a complete album using the same collection, and I can’t wait to get started!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ve been inspired to dig out all of the vacation photos you may be holding onto and get them scrapped!
