Here Kitty, Kitty!
It’s Ali, @funadventureswithali, and I’m thrilled to be back on the Simple Stories blog this month with a super cute cat layout using the adorable Fur Baby Cat collection! Although we don’t have any pets now (thanks to my allergies to cats), I used pictures of my stepdaughter’s two adorable cats, Elmer and Inola!
To bring the design to life, I wanted to create a playful ball of yarn. I cut a circle from the "Here Kitty, Kitty" paper and wrapped some bright orange yarn around it, leaving a strand dangling for the cats to play with! I used foam tape behind the yarn ball to make it pop off the background.
I picked three of the many photos she has of her cats and made a fun collage of Elmer and his friend Inola sitting in the doorway. They’re just too cute! I matted them on black Simple Stories cardstock, which I absolutely love using!
I also cut a couple of tags from the 6x8 pad and layered them behind the photos. To add some flair, I layered foam stickers on the tags, including my adorable title. To finish off the page, I embellished around the ball of yarn with enamel dots to sprinkle in some sparkle!
I hope you all have fun creating pages with your pets or grand pets, just like I did!
Until next month, happy crafting!
Hugs, Ali
