Hi friends, it's @vickiscraps here with a new project to share with you. Nothing says summer like melting ice cream and sunshine-soaked smiles! This scrapbook layout captures the joy of warm-weather moments with my niece as she enjoys a delicious (and messy!) ice cream treat. I used the Sunny Days collection to bring this memory to life with bright, cheerful patterns and perfectly themed embellishments.
The layout features the vibrant sunburst paper, which combines a mix of pastel-lined papers with warm tones that mimic the fun of a day in the sun. I cut the paper strips and overlayed them with the yellow to mimic the sun.
I added clusters of florals and butterflies around the yellow curve to echo the carefree summer vibe.
The “HELLO summer” title pops with dimension and texture, and I love how the faux-stitched details across the papers add a handmade touch.
The series of candid photos of my niece mid-lick, with ice cream dripping and giggles rising, are framed with filmstrip borders and nestled into the design with just the right amount of whimsy. The phrase “These Are the Days” sums it up perfectly: simple, sticky, and full of sunshine.
