Hello Autumn!

Hello Autumn!

Hello Simple Stories friends! Happy Tuesday to all! Today I want to share a fall layout using the gorgeous “Autumn Lane” collection. This was the perfect collection to document our picnic at Central Park one fall afternoon a couple years ago…

For the base of my layout, I used the orange and brown plaid patterned paper. To create a layered background I used a “Mustard” Color Vibe cardstock as my second layer, cutting it at 11,5x11,5. Finally I used a 11x11 “White” Color Vibe cardstock as my top layer, adding some white machine thread stitching to the borders to add some texture.

I am a huge fan of the Simple Stories chipboard frames; I believe they make your photos pop so much! I placed my two 3x4 photos in the frame and placed the “Hello Autumn”banner on the top as my title.

I can still remember the leaves falling from the trees that beautiful fall afternoon in Central Park and I wanted to recreate that in my layout. I decided to use a bunch of die cut leaves from the ephemera pack to recreate the memory I had from that day.

I placed my leaves on the left side of my photos creating half a moon shape and tucked my journaling piece at the bottom right of my photo frame.

I finished my layout adding some butterfly stickers, chipboard leaves, word stickers and enamel dots that lead the eye all around my layout. I also added a rub on quote at the bottom right side to add some balance on my layout.

I love how this layout turned out and I hope you like it too! If you would like to see how this layout came together you can see it on my YouTube channel @gloriascraps.

Thanks for stopping by, have an amazing day!!

Gloria
