Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using the super cute Into The Wild collection! As soon as I saw this collection, I knew I had the perfect photo for it. Here’s my layout:
To start I took several of the papers from the 6 x 8 paper pad and cut them into circles of different sizes. I used a metal stitched set from my stash. This collection has so many gorgeous patterns and I wanted to find a way to display a lot of them. This also allowed me to embellish and add my photo and title right on top of the circles.
To add a bit of mixed media onto my layout, I did some watercoloring using a few different Distress Oxide inks from my stash. After my background was completely dry, I popped each one up on foam tape and arranged them going across my page. I just love dimension on my pages!
For my title, I used a phrase from the foam sticker sheet. The photo I used for this page is of my two boys at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. They were looking at one of the tigers and it totally matched the tigers in the collection. I matted it using a few papers from the 6 x 8 paper pad and distressed the edges.
I love creating embellishment clusters by tucking and layering different pieces. Isn’t that toucan perfect in this spot? It’s so cute! I ended up adding more ephemera, chipboard stickers, decorative brads and puffy stickers directly onto the circles.
I just love this tiger ephemera piece and here's an up close shot of my mixed media.
To add a pop of color, I took a piece of the Color Vibe Basics in Flamingo and adhered it to the backside of the top and bottom of my page. Next, I carefully tore into my white cardstock base to reveal that pink paper, distressed the edges and ran it through my sewing machine using black thread to pull more of that black from the collection.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that I’ve inspired you in some way! Have you had a chance to pick up this collection yet? It’s perfect to document all of your outdoor adventures!
