Hi there! Nathalie with you today to share a fun project featuring the new AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL Collection from Simple Stories. Now, we live in Canada, therefore celebrate July 1st as our Independence Day, however the collection can certainly be modified to document all sorts of projects.
I pulled a few pictures of my sister and niece celebrating Canada's Day in downtown Toronto for this layout and chose to focus on bringing as much of the white and read as I could.
What better way to minimize the patterns than to cut strips of it into delicate punched borders. Once again, I cut 6 in strips from some of the papers in the collection, and punched the edge of all of them. Then arrange them on a vertical line leaving about a 4"space to house my photos
Once all the papers were glued down to a Warm White Color Vibe Cardstock, I frame this page with a Soft Teal Color Vibe cardstock - this just brings some of the blue tones down a bit in the page-
I added my photos to the space left between the rows of punched paper strips. I made sure that the photos fit within the 6in of the paper strips. Then, it was time to add a title. For this I combined some of the collection stickers with white Foam Alpha Color Vibe stickers.
I am using some of the flower stickers to create 3 major clusters in the page. I fussy cut a few extra florals to help me with this, then just added some of the phrase stickers to add more sentiment to the page.
I hope this gives you some inspiration to create your projects using the new AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL, the collection is versatile and you can use it to document other stories, too
'til next time!
