Dear scrappy friends,
Today I'm sharing a fun and summery layout created with the beautiful Open Road collection.
I recently returned home after spending six amazing months in the United States. While I was based in Wilmington, North Carolina, I also had the opportunity to visit Wisconsin, Vermont, South Carolina, and Colorado. One of the highlights of my trip was spending time with Paige Evans in Colorado. During our visit, we explored the stunning Garden of the Gods, where this photo was taken. As soon as I saw the Open Road collection, I knew it would be perfect for documenting this special memory.

To begin, I used the patterned papers Hit the Road and Capture the Good. I cut three 1-inch strips from each paper, trimmed the ends into points, and arranged them in an alternating pattern to create a series of arrows across the page. I then matted my photo with one of the papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and adhered it so that it slightly overlapped the arrow design.

Next, I went through the embellishments and selected a variety of ephemera pieces, cardstock stickers, and foam stickers that reflected the scenery in the photo, including mountains and trees. I arranged them around the photo and also added a few clouds and a sun to enhance the outdoor adventure theme.

The collection includes lots of adorable little flowers, so I couldn't resist adding quite a few of them to the layout. I placed them along the arrows, coordinating the colors with the papers and embellishments. To finish the page, I added a few brads and some gold splatters for extra texture and shine.

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me here on the blog today.
Be sure to check out my other new layout featuring the Sweet Summertime collection on social media as well. I can't wait to share more creative inspiration with you soon!
Lisa
