Hello Friends! Wow!!! I’m still pinching myself! This is my first post on the Simple Stories blog and I am so excited and nervous at the same time! It’s a dream! It’s Lory (you can find me on IG as @loredanabucaria) here and I am a crazy paper lover like all of you over there, I see you ;) Lol!
Today I am happy to share a page, a 12x12 scrapbooking page I have created with the so romantic and elegant collection Happily Ever After. Wow! Pure magic!
What is the starting point of your creative flow? I usually start from the picture I want to use and then I choose the supplies from the papers to the embellishments! This time a funny thing is happened to me! I started from what is the end of my creative process! I started from the papers, first the cardstock background and then the patterned papers! I placed them in many different ways searching for what I consider the perfect combination. Then I knew I would to use a single photo so I placed the gold and flower chipboard frame (it’s so beautiful in real life believe me! LoL ) and then I tried to create a composition fixing many different kids of embellishments.
I created levels using flowers, I fussy cut some white flowers fixing them with the flower die cuts. Then was the time of a little white sprig and the different die cuts like the the typewriter, the banner “We’re getting married” that I used as the title of the page and the hearts! I am crazy for all those die cuts! While I was creating I felt like a child at the lunapark! Wow believe me, this collection is dreamy!
I Added just other little details here and there as the “love” decorative brad, the sticker phrase and the die cut phrases. In the end three strips of the same cardstock paper where I have written the journaling just using the stickers phrases from the stickers book. The stickers book is for sure my favorite products of this collection! Full of wonders.
I have loved creating many different points of attention in the page and some dynamic points alternative things stuck with glue and with the 3d double side tape. To finish my page I just spattered some drops of white acrylic ink here and there and the magic happened ! LOL! One of my best days enclosed in a lovely page. Hope you like it and cast wait to see your creations :)
Love, Lory
