Goody Goody Gumdrops! 🍬
Hi friends! It’s Ali — @funadventureswithali — here today to share a sweet scrapbook layout featuring the adorable Hard Candy collection from Simple Stories!
Last year, my friend Sheri and I celebrated Christmas in Chicago, and we just had to stop for a photo with the cutest gingerbread man we found. How sweet is that?!
I absolutely love every single 12x12 paper in this collection, so choosing just a few was tough — but I narrowed it down to my top six favorites and layered them together to create a fun, festive background. I cut the green plaid paper into a banner shape, then layered our photo on top using foam tape for a little dimension.
The 12x12 sticker sheet that comes with this collection is full of adorable designs! As soon as I saw the “Sweet” letter stickers, I knew they had to be part of my title. I let them pop off the side of my plaid banner and added a tiny gumdrop to each letter — just like the gumdrops on the gingerbread man’s chest! For extra sparkle, I finished each one with a shiny enamel dot to make them glisten.
To complete my title, I added the foam sticker word “Memories” and tucked a few bits of ephemera around it using foam tape. I even added a brad to the peppermint candy and more enamel dots for that extra touch of sugar-coated fun.
To finish off the page, I used three phrase stickers on foam strips and popped them above my photo for balance and a touch of whimsy.
