Good Times!

Good Times!

Hi, friends! Jana Eubank here to share my latest scrapbook page with you using the Simple Stories Pink Lemonade collection. This collection has my heart right now — all that pink, green, yellow, and red with the most adorable florals, strawberries, lemons, bicycles, and gingham checks. It's happy and summery and just begs to be scrapped. I had so much fun putting this layout together, and I can't wait to walk you through how I made it!

Start with the dot-patterned side of a Green Color Vibe cardstock sheet as your background — it gives the page a subtle texture without competing with the other patterns to come. On the left side, add two vertical strips of patterned paper side by side: the strawberry print and the mint floral. Next, I wanted to add a bit more detail to the vertical strips, so I layered together three die-cut borders on top of each other using Tomato red, White, and Buttercup yellow cardstock.

For the photo area, cut a piece of yellow gingham check paper and mat it with Tomato red cardstock, then hand-stitch around the edge with white twine — this adds a sweet handmade feel that fits the collection's vibe perfectly.

Place two vertical 3x4 photos side by side, each matted in Tomato red. Behind the first photo, tuck a couple of 3x4 element cards to highlight it and add additional color. Accent the top-right corner of the second photo with two tiny tags from the 6x8 Pad and a polaroid, floral frame die-cut for more fun layers.

Below the photos, position an envelope die-cut to anchor the Foam Sticker title "Good Times" — the envelope gives it a little lift and makes the title feel purposeful rather than just floating. To the left of the title, cluster a few floral die-cuts and tuck a pinwheel in among them for a playful touch. On the right side, add the green bicycle die-cut with more florals, and accent the center of each wheel with a tiny coral brad. It sounds like a small detail, but it really makes the bike pop.

Finally, scatter three chipboard butterflies around the page and hand-stitch the flight path for one of them — a simple curved line of stitches that adds playful movement. Finish everything off by sprinkling enamel dots and decorative brads across the page. They catch the light and add dimension to the florals without looking overdone.

A block of journaling added below the bottom-right corner of the gingham layer finished everything off.

This was such a fun layout to create, and I hope that it inspired you to get creative today! Thanks for coming by!
