Hello Simple Stories friends. Karlla here and I'm so excited to share this project with you all.
I LOVE a layout that brings height, layers, dimensions... something playful. And I chose to bring all of that with the beautiful "Take Note" collection.
I simply can't even describe how perfect it is. An incredible combination of colors and patterns. I hope you like it.

For this layout, the choice was to place the main part in the center. That's where I thought adding an overlay to create the background would be a great idea.
It helps to create emphasis.
For the overlay, I cut the "Just a little note" paper to 10x10" and the "Journal Elements" paper to 9.5"x9.5". I layered the two papers together and stitched along the edge to finish it. I added this to the "Get it done" paper using foam tape.

Using the "My favorite things" paper, I cut it into an 8"x8" square and then cut it diagonally, creating 1" wide strips.
I positioned them over the previously created overlay and glued the strips down.
I only applied glue to the center of the strips, leaving the edges loose so they could be lifted.
I used the sewing machine to finish the center of each strip. Then I lifted the edges of each one slightly to create texture in the layout.

Now for the decoration, I used a lot of foam tape. Since we created this dimension with the strips, the interesting thing is not to leave them flat on the base, right?
In this case, I used several layers of foam tape.
For the decoration, I added a tag, a roll of photos "Office Ephemera", a cute flower arrangement, and a tag that says "Love This" on the right side of the layout,
which you can find in the "Bits & Pieces" section.

On the left side of the photo, I layered "Bits & Pieces and Journal Bits & Pieces" butterflies, and in the center, I added small "Enamel Dots".
I added the title and some more decorations from the "Cardstock Stickers".

I finished the project with some "Decorative Brads and Enamel Dots".
I LOVED creating this layout and how fun it turned out. I can't wait to see your creations.
I hope it inspires you in some way. See you next time!
With Love
Karlla
