Glamping Adventure

Glamping Adventure
Hello Simple Stories friends! Rebeca here to share two layouts using the "Trail Mix" collection by Simple Stories to show you how versatile and beautiful it is. The main focus of Trail Mix is outdoor activities, but if you don't have those kinds of photos, you can use it for any other them, like I did.
The first layout I'm sharing is "Glamping Adventure". In this layout, I used patterned papers to create the background with strips of paper. I cut some of them straight and others diagonally. For more interest, I used paper strips of different widths and secured them with a stitched border around the layout.

One of the products I love to use in my layouts are the chipboard frames. They are a great addition to any project, making the design process easier and enhancing the photos to help them stand out! In this layout, I used a big pink frame with the word "Adventure" on the top and a camper on the bottom. It was perfect for the photo I had from our glamping adventure!
In the collection you can find floral stickers, die cuts, foams, and chipboards, but since I love fussy cutting, I decided to cut a few of them from the floral paper. If you don't like to fussy cut, you can use the florals available in the different embellishment packs from the collection. I used the florals to embellish the corners of the frame. They are tucked under the frame and have foam tape in some areas, to give them dimension.

To complete the title, I used alpha stickers from the sticker book. Finally, I added a few die cuts, chipboards, foam, brads, stickers, and enamel dots to embellish the layout and create the clusters.
The second layout I made is titled "Happy Memories". This time, I used Trail Mix to create a layout with photos unrelated to outdoor activities. One of the things I love the most about this collection is the color palette. What about you, what do you love most about this collection?

For this layout, I used four rectangular photos and one circular photo. To help them stand out, I matted them in mint and pink patterned papers to create a contrast between them and the terracotta paper. As you can see in this layout, the designs are so generic that you can use them, and nobody thinks this is an outdoor activities collection.
This time, I used the florals from the embellishment packs and a card with a floral design where I printed the journaling. On the left side of the layout, you can see how I used a border sticker and a strip of washi tape.
The title is a die cut label and a foam word, embellished with chipboards and a die cut butterfly. Also, you can see how I added a brad and two enamel dots in every cluster to create a visual triangle. I added a few more die cuts and stickers to this layout to balance it and make it look prettier!
I printed the journaling in this beautiful cut apart card. With the florals in this card, I created a visual triangle in the layout.
