Hi Friends! Andrea with you today sharing my first Christmas project of the season using the new Simple Vintage Christmas Lodge Collection by Simple Stories.
I used my most favorite products to make a set of Christmas cards and envelopes to send to friends and family members during the Holiday season.
Every time I receive a new collection, there are certain products I love to check out first: the foam stickers are my number one embellishment and I am not sure that will ever change.
After that, I spend some time looking at the patterned papers, the chipboard Frames and Clusters, and it makes me happy when a collection comes with a card set.
Yes, I normally make all the cards I get in the card kits and have them ready to share with the people I love. It's always great to get a head start becasue the holidays come up quick!
The first step of this project was to make the cards. I love adding dimension and texture and I get that by adding machine stitching details and using foam adhesive on all of my cards.
The cards kit comes with pre-punched embellishments and printed color instructions that make the process of putting together the cards a super fun one--and anyone can do it.
I then custom created the envelopes using some of the 12x12 patterned papers. I added machine stitching details around the edges of each one of the envelopes and decorated them using the chipboard clusters, chipboard frames, foam and chipboard stickers. I also included a few bits and pieces and some enamel dots to finish decorating each card/envelope.
I hope this post inspires you to create fun cards and spread the Christmas spirit with your loved ones. I would love to know if you make and share cards with your friends and family and what are your favorite products to use or techniques to apply when making them :)!
