Game Night Memories Mini Album

Game Night Memories Mini Album

Hello, scrappy friends! Celes here (@guiademanualidades), and today I am sharing a mini tabletop album made with the playful Game Night collection from Simple Stories. It is built with disc-bound rings and a standing A-frame base, so it can live on your desk and flip like a little memory show. I decorated the cover with a bright spinner wheel, big PLAY tiles, and classic game-night icons—dice, dominoes, pawns—because some traditions are perfect just the way they are: snacks, laughs, and friendly competition. Ready to make your photos feel like it is your turn?

For this mini album, the star is the structure: it is built with 1 mm thick chipboard and finished with 1 1/4" disc rings. To punch the mushroom holes, you can use either the Crop-A-Dile Disc Power Punch or the We R Makers Multi Cinch—both work beautifully. And the best part? This design is super adaptable, so if you prefer another binding system, you can absolutely recreate the same tabletop base and swap in your favorite ring mechanism without changing the whole project.

Structure
To build the base, you will need two chipboard pieces measuring 3 1/8" wide × 1" tall, and two chipboard pieces measuring 3 1/8" wide × 3 3/4" tall.
Choose two patterned papers from the collection kit—one for the outside and one for the inside.
Take the patterned paper that will be visible on the outside and adhere the chipboard pieces onto it, leaving a 4 mm gap between each piece. Place them in this order: one large piece (turned so the 3 1/8" side is the width), then the two small pieces in the center, and finally the remaining large piece. Make sure you leave enough paper around all edges so you can wrap and cover the piece neatly, closing all four sides.
Once the outside is fully wrapped, use the second patterned paper to cover the inside.
With the base finished, punch the holes on both ends. Keep the discs centered, with 1" of space between each disc. After punching, add the discs—and your tabletop base is ready!

Interior
For the inside of the album, cut pages from patterned paper (I used the 6" × 8" pad from the collection) plus white cardstock (or any color you love).
Page size: 3 1/8" wide × 3 1/2" tall.
In my album, I cut:
- 13 pages from white cardstock
- 13 pages from patterned cardstock/paper
- 1 vellum page to use as the cover
Punch all of these pages so they can be added to the disc-bound base.

Cover: Add the cover decoration on top of the vellum page, then layer a patterned paper page behind it so the background color shows through the vellum (instant “pretty” with zero extra effort).

First page after the cover: One white cardstock page with decoration.
Then the repeat pattern: From there, alternate:
- 1 patterned page with a photo (suggested photo size: 2 1/2" × 2 1/2")
- 1 white cardstock page for the journaling that goes with that photo

And just like that… our little Game Night tabletop album is finished and ready to live where it belongs: out in the open, within arm’s reach, waiting to be flipped through whenever you need a quick dose of smiles. I love projects like this because they are simple in size but huge in feeling—a sturdy structure, a fun binding, and pages that do exactly what memory keeping is supposed to do: bring you right back to the moment. If you make your own version, please tag me @guiademanualidades so I can cheer for your mini masterpiece. Now go enjoy your memories… and yes, it is absolutely your turn!
