FUN! Binder Album

FUN! Binder Album

For this project, I created a fun and colorful album to document a special family trip, and I started with the adorable pink 6x8 Sn@p! binder album. I absolutely love this shade of pink for the cover—it’s cheerful, bright, and the perfect base for a happy memory album.

To decorate the cover, I trimmed a piece of the Elements paper to fit the chipboard section of the cover and stitched a border around it using pink thread for a little extra texture. I then layered on a mix of embellishments including chipboard pieces, enamel dots, and decorative brads to give the cover lots of dimension and sparkle.

For the first page, I used the My Goodness paper and created a fun flip-out page by trimming the paper to 8” x 12” and scoring a 5-inch flap. I fell in love with the large, beautiful flower in the corner of the paper and wanted to make sure it really stood out. On the front side of the flap, I designed my title page and added a 4x4 photo right above the flower cluster.

Inside the flap, I added more 4x4 photos, layered embellishments from the collection, and left space for journaling that I’ll come back and add later.

For the next section of the album, I used one of the chipboard tab dividers and covered it with the How Cool paper. I matted a 4x6 photo using the Details paper and embellished the page with floral brads and chipboard pieces for extra texture.

Throughout the album, I mixed and matched the patterned papers, using a combination of pocket pages and chipboard dividers to create variety and keep things interesting. One of my favorite pages is a cute little sequin shaker page featuring a vertical 4x6 photo insert. I also created a flip page using the Details paper and the Tags paper to make fun little flip elements.

Another page features 4x6 pocket inserts, where I used a 3x4 cut-apart card to create a small flip-up section. On the back side, I used a 4x6 cut-apart card as a title piece and added tiny photos inside the little filmstrip designs.

For the final divider, I used the House paper and left space for a 4x6 photo frame layered on the All About It paper.

I absolutely love how this album came together. It’s bright, playful, and the perfect way to celebrate such a special family trip. I know I’ll enjoy flipping through these memories for many years to come.
