There’s something magical about scrapbooking winter photos—the crisp textures, cozy colors, and subtle seasonal details bring snowy memories to life in such a warm and heartfelt way. Today, I’m excited to share my Frozen Memories layout created with the stunning Simple Vintage Flannel Season collection. This page is all about capturing those chilly outdoor adventures while layering in soft florals, pine sprigs, and a touch of homespun charm.
This layout is perfect for documenting family outings, cabin trips, snowy hikes, or any moment where the air was cold, but the memories were warm. Let’s take a closer look!
The gorgeous deep green background paper, filled with subtle pine sprigs and tone-on-tone texture, sets the stage for the entire layout. It provides the perfect calm wintry backdrop for pops of plaid, wood tones, and soft neutrals.
At the top of the design, I clustered three tags in various patterns—plaid, florals, and a classic winter print—to anchor the photos and bring in that signature cozy flannel aesthetic. Each tag is finished with hand stitched loops at the top, playfully to add movement and warmth.
To complement the tags, I tucked in an array of die-cut florals, berries, pinecones, and delicate snowflakes. These embellishments bring the layout to life with texture and dimension—creating a wreath-like frame around the photos without feeling too heavy.
If you love layering, this collection makes it effortless. The mix of icons and softer botanical elements allows you to build freely while maintaining a cohesive look.
This page features two photos, both matted with soft neutral cardstock and popped up with adhesive foam. The slight lift helps them stand out from the dense greenery and layered elements around them.
The title—Frozen Memories—sits right below the photos, layered with die-cut florals and scripted text for added charm. Combining block letters with script adds a playful contrast while keeping things clean and readable.
To complete the page, I added enamel dots and small snowflake pieces for just the right amount of sparkle and dimension. These finishing details help balance the layout and guide the eye across the design.
Even though the color palette leans cozy and traditional, the bright whites and soft red accents bring that familiar holiday pop that ties the entire page together.
