Frosty Friends

Frosty Friends
Hello crafty friends, this is Gloria Parra here! Today I’m sharing a layout created with the super fun and cute “Winter Wonder” collection. In this photo, my girls are sitting on an aerial cableway in a very cold city here in Bolivia, this was the perfect collection to scrap these photos and our memories!
I started my layout on a white color vibe cardstock that I used for my background. I then chose my color scheme and decided to highlight the corals and navy since my girls were wearing shirts with coral color flowers on them.

For my middle paper layers, I cut the navy striped patterned paper and the coral dash paper at 2 inches wide by 10,5 inches long. The big polka dot coral piece measures 7 x 10,5 inches. I then added some zig zag machine stitching to all of my paper layers.

For the top and bottom of my white cardstock I added some 1/2” of navy patterned papers and created a teared-up piece for my top border that gives the illusion of snow dripping from the sky.

The main idea that I had for this layout was to have a kind of rope or cable with little embellishments hanging from it. That reminds me so much of how we were hanging from the cableway on our trip. To execute this idea, I used my cropadile to make two holes and insert two big eyelets under my photos. I then used a thick coral twine from my stash and “hanged” some super cute winter gear such as boots, jackets, socks and a hat…I couldn’t love more how this came out!!

For my left embellishment cluster, I used a journaling tag from the cut apart patterned paper, added a circular wreath from the journaling bits and pieces and placed my foam title sticker on top of my cluster, overlapping a bit of my chipboard frame. I loved the title “frosty friends” for this layout, since we were all SO COLD up there! I then added some typed journaling to my card and finished my cluster with some snowflakes and the gorgeous shiny enamel dots.

On the little embellishment cluster at the top right corner, I kept it relatively simple and added 3 snowflakes and a little “So Magical” tab on top. I really loved how this layout came out and I can’t wait to create more fun pages with this super awesome Winter collection. Hope you guys like this layout and feel inspired to create with it.

Gloria
