Hello Simple Stories friends! Jen Davis here sharing a layout using the new Make It Merry collection. If you are on the lookout for a classic feeling collection with some nice black and white thrown in, this just may be your golden ticket! I love how with this collection there is that traditional feel yet some of the artwork is fresh, fun, and playful as well!
I kept things pretty simple for this layout. I focused on incorporating a few different patterned papers, added some sewing machine stitching to create a simple look of borders/lines and used one of the amazing chipboard photo frames. I chose a photo frame that would hold two photos as I knew that using two would better help tell the story of how my family enjoys a candlelight service every year as well as sitting around on Christmas eve and enjoying the twinkle lights on our Christmas tree!
Adding some three dimensional adhesive under some of the die-cuts from the Journaling Bits added just a little something extra...and I love the decorative brads so much in this collection! I was sure to sprinkle a few here and there on this page.
I had fun mixing up my title work a bit on this page by using both stickers from my set of Foam Stickers and for the word "merry" I pulled out stickers from my Puffy Stickers...so fun!
We just got our first official snowfall where the snow is sticking and there's accumulation on the ground...for me, snow really makes me feel as though Christmas is on the way! I can't wait!
