Fave Game!

Fave Game!

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I couldn't wait to get to work with the new Game Night collection!! It's absolutely amazing and perfect for so many of our family memories. Just like a lot of families, we LOVE to play games of any kind. Board games, card games, video games... You name it. A lot of my favorite memories are of us sitting around the table or cuddled on the couch playing our favorites. I hope that our kids continue those traditions with their families! Here's my layout:

One of our favorite games of all time is the game of Risk. The boys get so competitive and love to try and battle my husband. So of course, I just had to document us playing this specific game! To start, I went through the patterned papers and chose the B side of the 2x2/4x4 Elements paper as my base. I trimmed down my favorite Color Vibe cardstock (Warm White) to an 11x11 and drew some black lines around the border for some interest. I then pulled out the 6x8 Paper Pad and trimmed out a bunch of 1x8 paper strips that I ended up layering across my cardstock. The strips created the perfect foundation layer for my photos and embellishments.

Next, I went ahead and matted my photo using a paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and layered some pieces from the Big Bits and Journal Bits pack behind it. I centered and adhered it down and then found the perfect journaling piece that I tucked underneath. I'm loving all of the bright and bold colors in this collection. Everything just pops off of the page!

For my title, I selected the "Fave Game" stickers from the Foam pack and thought that it was fitting for this page. I popped them up on foam tape and adhered them to the left of my photos. It's such a fun font!!! I also found some dice in the Chipboard Stickers pack and arranged them under my title. Rolling dice in Risk is a big part of the game, so they were a perfect addition!

Lastly, I got to work on the rest of the embellishing. I added in some chipboard game pieces, foam "jacks" stickers and a die cut of some stacked board games from the Bits and Pieces pack. I also decided to spell out the game name down at the bottom using some black Color Vibe Alpha Foam Stickers. This page turned out so playful and fun! Here's one last look. I love all of the patterns from the paper strips, the two large circular elements and all of the game embellishments!!
