Family is Forever

Family is Forever

Hello Simple Stories friends! Anya is here today, and I so happy to share another project I created with the gorgeous What's Cookin' collection! I am sure you already know, but I wanted to point out that Simple Stories makes some of the best ephemera die cuts in the industry, and now with the addition of rub-ons, the possibilities are endless! In this particular project I wanted to focus specifically on those.

Layering fun die cut pieces is one of my favorite things to do and that was my starting point for this page spread. For the left page, I used a pink journaling card, which was stretched by cutting it in two pieces and then adding it at the top and bottom of my photo. I also used one of the tags, to add a layer underneath the card and finished it with beautiful bits and pieces.

To create the right side of this page spread, I printed journaling first, leaving space for decorations at the top and making space between the last two paragraphs for a row of enamel dots. I also added a strip of patterned paper at the right edge and stitched it down. While creating this layout, I already put a few more die-cut pieces for my next page, since they happened to look so pretty together.

I hope this layout inspired you to create something with this beautiful collection and record your own story. Thank you so much for visiting Simple Stories blog and make sure to stop by again soon for more inspiration!
