Hey friends!! Brianna Lepper back with you today and like a lot of us out there, I’m a BIG fan of Halloween. What’s even better than Halloween? Documenting Halloween! The new FaBOOlous collection is absolutely gorgeous. To me, it kind of has a vintage feel and so I broke out a photo of my sister and I at Halloween, circa 1985! Here’s my page:
To start, I went through the patterned papers and chose both the Sweet & Spooky and Hey, Ghoul Hey papers. I thought they went well with my photos, so I set those aside. Next, I wanted to add a bit of mixed media, so I took a piece of white cardstock and did some ink blending on it using the Batty Stencil. I used a few different Distress Oxide inks in pinks and orange. After that, I went ahead and tore into my patterned papers and adhered them down to my page. I even added in some of the washi tape as well!
I love the Chipboard Frames, so I decided to layer two together and sort of build a foundation for my photos, title and embellishments. They create fun dimension and also provide great spaces for me to tuck things into. In the cluster below, l layered a few Journal Bits, Cardstock Stickers and Chipboard Stickers together. The little candy corns? LOVE!
For my title, I used a couple of the Foam Stickers and arranged half of it directly on my photo. I love that there are a few icons in place of the letters in ‘Halloween’. So clever!
Here’s a fun view to see all of the layers on this page. I love how the colors in the photo match so nicely with the colors in this collection.
I mainly embellished using the Journal Bits, Chipboard Stickers and Cardstock Stickers. For a finishing touch, I sprinkled in a few Enamel Dots as well as some black paint splatters.
Here’s one last look at this FaBOOlous page:
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I’ve inspired you in some way! See you next time friends!
Xo Brianna
