Fa La La! by Christine Meyer

Fa La La! by Christine Meyer
With only ten days until Christmas, the countdown is on! Does your family have any special traditions that you try to capture each year? Like many families, my family (well the kids anyway) get new pajamas and pose for pictures in front of the tree. It's funny to see their personalities grow and change with each year's Christmas pajama layout! Make it Merry is the perfect collection for capturing those traditions! It's got all the traditional icons and colors!
One of my go to things with each Simple Stories collection is to take a quick look thru the 6 X 8 paper pad. Although most of it is a scaled down version of the 12 X 12, there are a few things in there that are unique. Example - given the page I used for my title! I cut it in half and then trimmed a little off the top and bottom to make it fit and frame my picture perfectly. I thought it was the perfect fun quote to use!
Another item I can't resist is the chipboard frames! This light blue one was a perfect complement to my lone picture for this moment in time! I added some Basics stickers to add some verbiage.
Carrying the frame out into the layout - I went with using the poinsettias with a light blue outline - extending out on both sides of the frame. These came from the Chipboard, Journaling Bits & Pieces, and Cardstock Stickers.
I always love to add a "hanging" ornament onto layouts - there's something very whimsical about that! I added cardstock sticker ornaments below my frame for this one.
Journaling spots are no problem with the Journaling Bits & Pieces. Sometimes you even layer them to get a little more on there! I also added enamel dots in both shades of green as accents going diagonal on the layout.
To see more of how my layout came together and the process involved, check out my process video over at my YouTube Channel. Thanks for stopping by today and Merry Christmas!
