Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing another layout using the super adorable Trail Mix collection. This photo is of my oldest son on a hike out in California. He's afraid of heights so when he texted me this photo, I was so proud that he overcame his fear! This was definitely one that I needed to scrapbook right away. There are so many super cute outdoor elements that really went with the photo. The Trail Mix collection was perfect for it!
To start, I went through the 12x12 patterned papers and pulled out: Mountain Explorers, So Outdoorsy and 3x4 Elements. I trimmed three 3" x 9"-inch panels of the Mountain Explorers paper and used them as a matte for the 3x4 Elements paper and the A and B side of So Outdoorsy. I popped them all up on foam tape and adhered them to a piece of white cardstock.
The first panel would have an embellishment cluster, the second panel would house both my title and photo and the third panel would have my journaling along with one more embellishment cluster. Here's my photo and embellishments. I chose a mixture of Chipboard Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, Enamel Dots and Decorative Brads. I love that little map! The boys had to hike to get to this spot, so it was such a perfect addition right under my photo.
For my title, I chose a phrase from the Foam Sticker sheet and added some alphas from the Sticker Book. I love how large my title is and it really pops off of the page.
I love all of the layers and textures in this embellishment cluster. The Journal Bits are probably one of my favorite embellishments to work with. Not only do they provide the perfect places to journal, but they also make great layering pieces! I'm such a big fan of the pops of pink throughout the collection. So pretty!
These panels provide the perfect places for my photo, title and embellishments. I love the clean lines and simple design.
Here's one last look at this outdoorsy layout. I really enjoyed creating it!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you next time friends!
