Hey scrappy friends — and Happy New Year!
I’m kicking off the year with a romantic and vintage-inspired layout using the gorgeous Simple Vintage Junk Drawer collection. Let’s dive into the process!

To begin, I flipped through all the beautiful papers and chose “Notes & Things” — it has this lovely vintage book print with soft neutral-toned florals. So dreamy!
I fussy-cut the large bouquet and adhered it to the left side of the “Cypress” paper from the Vintage Basics kit. I also trimmed out a few of the typed phrases from the same paper and placed them on the right side of the page for balance.

Next, I pulled together a mix of flowers, hearts, buttons, and butterflies from the Bits & Pieces and sticker packs. For my photo, I picked one I had just taken at the beach (love how relaxed it feels!) and matted it with a few distressed layers of patterned paper to give it more texture and dimension.

After placing the photo slightly on top of the floral cluster, I moved on to the title. I chose two foam word stickers and placed them right below the photo for a clean and bold look.
Then I started embellishing — adding the flowers, hearts, buttons, and butterflies all around the page to create flow and visual interest.

To finish everything off, I splattered some gold paint across the page — a little sparkle never hurts! ✨
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Wishing you all a creative and joyful start to the year — I’ll see you next month with more scrappy goodness.
