At first glance, COZY DAYS immediately reminds me of warm drinks, pumpkin spice and fluffy sweaters! Going with the "warm drinks" theme, I chose to dress up a kraft drink carrier that I saved from a visit to the coffee shop.
To begin, I deconstructed the kraft box, as much as possible, to make tracing easier. An after-thought: cut various papers into all sorts of shapes and create a "patchwork" along the sides and front of the box.
I chose one of the horizontal chipboard frames and backed it with a swatch of paper before adding to the front of the box. Layers of die-cuts, stickers, chipboard, foam stickers and enamel dots were incorporated into dressing up the frame.
I altered a wooden clip from my stash with stickers and die-cuts and then clipped it onto the top. If you can't find a similar clip, think of using regular wooden clothespins and covering them with strips of paper and embellishing!
Disposable cups with lids and bands can be found just about anywhere; I picked up a pack at the dollar store. I simply traced the kraft band onto patterned paper and then glued to the front. A disc of paper was also attached to the lid of the cup (don't forget to poke a small hole where the steam spout is). Fun stickers were layered onto the front of the bands.
And don't forget the gift tag! There are several to choose from in the Journal Bits pack.
To the backside of the carrier, I removed the center separating piece so that I could tuck in a box of coffee. I simply wrapped the coffee box in patterned paper and then slid into place!
I'm in love with the hand drawn artwork and the magical colors of Fall found in COZY DAYS; I hope you are too! There are so many more cool projects that I look forward to crafting with this sweet collection.
Thanks for joining!
