Hi friends! Emilie Chamel here for Simple stories and this month I am super excited to create the Color Vibe collection, specifically the “Fall” shades.
What an incredible new release! The expansion of the Color Vive collections is exactly what we didn’t know we all needed until it happened! It is both an incredible staple: perfect to fill-up any collection, all the while being so strong that it holds its own. I can honestly say I haven’t had that much fun playing with paper than with these beauties in a while!
My floral loving self was in heaven when I saw all the flower packs. I love to layer florals on my layout but these take it to an other level. They let us play with all sort of layering wether we follow the examples on the back of the packs or assemble the blooms however we please.
I decided to go for the fall colours as I had some photographs I wanted to use with them and very quickly it took the shape of a wreath in my mind. I used a paper folding technique to create my leaves which added tones of volume and details. Paired with the assembled florals, it created a very whimsical design.
To add a surprising extra touch, I replaced the floral centres with buttons or with enamel dots. It brings even more colours to this super cute design.
By curling all the petals and ephemera leaves around a paint-brush handle, it creates a volume that brings all the florals to life.
When assembling the flowers, I decided to mix-up the colours so that my wreath would burst with interest and look more detailed than if it had been following a colour blocking technique
To finish it all off, I created my title with the Color Vibe form alphas and sticker books. It is all such a perfect combination! I really hope that you will check the new Color Vibe products at your local scrapbooking store. You won’t regret it!
