Hi, Odessa here with some more festive inspiration! Simple Vintage North Pole is full of all the extra jolly I need this year. Lots of rosy Santas, candy canes and all things nice to splash all over my pages is just perfect!
I paired Simple Vintage North Pole with the Red Stripe Binder, the colour goes so well with the collection and all the candy canes and cardstock patterns. While this binder looks great totally plain, with so many great embellishments I had to decorate it!
Chipboard Frames to the rescue! I’ve used them on the cover of albums a few times and that’s because they look so good! It’s a nice polished look that really elevates a cover. I backed it with some of the coordinating Simple Vintage North Pole Basics cardstock in a white tone and then puzzled together all kinds of embellishments. It’s a playful look that’s easy to put together and really fun to put together.
I broke up this layout with a decorative insert. I cut the outer column off of a page protector full of 2x2 squares and just filled it with everything fun! 2x2 cards, stickers and more! I picked embellishments that had matching embellishments on the same side and stuck them together. This way it looks good on both sides! I stapled in any smaller embellishment that was smaller than the pocket so it stayed in place. I used one of the large 3x4 number cards from the Simple Vintage North Pole SN@P! pack - they are so great for marking the days.
I had a little fun here and altered a Here Comes Santa card to match this cute photo of our pet hamster on a lego train. Little personal touches like this go a long way to make an album memorable years down the road.
Here you can see the other side of that 2x2 pocket insert. This side is full of doilies! I love it. Next to it are some more photos that go with the previous page with tree decorating photos. I have a round up of our new ornaments with a simple embellishment and a cute meme-y me excited to decorate with one of the dimensional stickers on top and some washi faux photo corners.
I don’t do a ton of journalling in my albums, but I squeezed some in on this page. I used one of the 4x6 Simple Vintage North Pole journalling cards and added one of the foam stickers that says December across the top. I used a mixture of phrase stickers from the Simple Vintage North Pole Sticker Book and my handwriting for a mixed look that stands out. The stickers emphasize some of my favourite things - it’s easier to pick the stickers first and work around them instead of starting writing and trying to make the stickers work.
